This project used an action-research approach to explore how to best integrate the skills of an Exercise Physiologist (EP) into an existing Immersion Therapy (IT) service for people with disabilities. The research involved monthly discussions with a small group of participants over three months. The key findings highlighted the importance of integrating Exercise Physiology while still allowing participants to have a choice in their therapy. The project concluded that a separate, exercise-focused version of Immersion Therapy could be offered, which would also help the service maintain its registration status and improve client outcomes.
